In this role, you'll:


Have a great opportunity working on one of the most known and respected infrastructure in Australia and be part of a team that maintains and looks after the iconic Sydney Harbour Bridge. You will be required to undertake a range of functions relating to maintaining timber, steel or concrete bridges, including assisting other trades. The role also operates a range of equipment and machinery and carries out labouring.


You will also be responsible for:
• Painting bridge steel components ensuring the manufacturers specifications, and standards are met
• Inspecting painting work to make sure it meets the required standards
• Performing scaffolding work when required to ensure painting gets done as efficiently and effectively
• Providing guidance and support to other team members

About you


The successful candidate will be a trade qualified painter with previous experience in a painting and blasting role, ideally within a similar heavy industrial environment. You will also have the ability to work effectively in a team environment, have exceptional communication skills and have a passion for workplace health & safety.



Essential requirements also includes:
• Certificate III in Painting and Decorating or equivalent and relevant experience that meets licencing requirements
• Current Construction Industry White Card
• Current unrestricted NSW motor vehicle driver's license
• Willingness to undertake any legislated or internal licensing or ticketing requirements as directed.



There will be opportunities for further training and career development.This position is a permanent full time position working a 38-hour week, 9-day fortnight and you may be required to work outside regular working hours occasionally. The salary for this position is Painter Grade 3 ($1,508.50 per week plus super)
Further to basic salary other allowances will be paid to this position which includes:
Sydney Harbour Bridge allowance $262 per week ($13,634 per year )
Lead paint removal allowance $3.10 per hour (when you perform relevant tasks)
