The Purpose

The Fibreglass Repairer & Painter at Snowy River Caravans is responsible for preparation, repair, and refinishing of caravans to a high professional standard. You will work on a variety of projects including insurance repairs, accident damage, and full resprays.

Key responsibilities include

• Prepare caravan surfaces for painting, including sanding, masking, filling, and priming

• Perform paint repairs to damaged panels, including scratch, dent, and accident repairs

• Colour match paints to existing finishes

• Apply paint using spray equipment to achieve high-quality finishes

• Blend new paintwork with existing surfaces for seamless repairs

• Carry out fibreglass repairs as required

• Inspect completed work to ensure quality standards are met

• Maintain painting equipment and tools in good working order

• Follow workplace health and safety procedures

• Keep work areas clean and organised

• Communicate with service advisors and workshop staff regarding repair progress

• Proven experience as a spray painter (automotive, marine, or caravan industry preferred)

• Knowledge of paint preparation and refinishing techniques

• Experience with fibreglass and panel repairs (advantageous)

• Ability to colour match accurately

• High attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Strong time management skills.
