Job Description

Valid Ohio driver’s license and proof of auto insurance is required by hospital policy. Must pass a motor vehicle background inspection, insurance eligibility, driving qualifications and training set forth by Nationwide Children’s Hospital and must maintain qualification of insurance guidelines.

Maintains the complete interior and exterior restoration, refinishing and decoration of wall surfaces, graphics, furniture, cabinets and miscellaneous items.

Essential Functions:

  • Prepares interior and exterior surfaces for painting by scraping, sanding, and filling holes and cracks. Repairs and replaces drywall, plaster, and other wall systems. Prepares surrounding areas appropriately to protect from overspray or paint splatter.
  • Mixes coatings to proper color, tint, texture and consistency, maintaining building paint standards. Prepares and applies paint or other finishes to surfaces using brushes, rollers, or spray guns.
  • Applies and repairs wallpaper, vinyl wall covering, wall protection systems, and wall graphics.
  • Cleans and maintains painting tools and equipment. Orders and maintains ready stock of paint material.
  • Prepares estimates for projects including materials and labor. Contacts vendors and works in conjunction with outside contractors.
  • Follows safety procedures and wears protective gear, such as respirators and safety glasses, when working with hazardous materials.

Education Requirement:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.


Licensure Requirement:

Experience:

Three years of painting experience, required.
