Griffin Marine Services is a leading marine service provider specialising in multi-disciplinary industrial services and project management. We service a diverse range of clients, including prime defence contractors and commercial shipping companies. We are looking for a motivated Painter / Blaster to join our rapidly growing team in Darwin. Initial focus will be hands on running the day-to-day duties, working closely with supervision and management to successfully complete site awarded contracts. This is a fantastic opportunity for career progression and would strongly suit a self-motivated person.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting using sanding, blasting, or mechanical methods
• Apply paint and protective coatings using brush and roller techniques
• Ensure all work meets project specifications and quality standards
• Comply with safety protocols at all times
• Collaborate effectively with team members on assigned projects

Skills and Experience:

• Experienced in industrial or commercial painting
• Solid understanding of safety protocols and PPE requirements in industrial settings
• Physically capable of performing manual labor and demanding tasks
• Strong team player with the ability to collaborate effectively on-site

Qualifications:

• Minimum of two years’ painting experience or a trade certificate in surface preparation
• OHS Construction Induction White Card (Essential)
• Valid Driver's License
• Confined Space Entry certification (Desired)
• Fire Sentry Training certification (Desired)
• Must be able to hold and obtain a National Police Clearance (Essential)
