Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, blasting, masking, and applying
• fillers as needed.
• Mix and apply paints, primers, and coatings using spray guns and other application
• Apply industrial coatings to metal parts and fully assembled heavy equipment.
• Inspect finished surfaces to ensure proper coverage, thickness, and quality standards.
• Maintain paint equipment, booths, and tools in safe working condition.
• Follow all safety procedures related to hazardous materials and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and coating specifications.
• Perform touch-ups and rework as necessary.
• Track materials usage and maintain accurate production records.
• Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to meet production deadlines.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• 2+ years of experience in industrial or automotive painting (heavy equipment experience
• preferred).
• Knowledge of surface preparation, coating applications, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to use spray painting equipment and related tools.
• Basic understanding of OSHA safety standards and hazardous material handling.

Qualifications

Position Summary

The Industrial / Automotive Painter is responsible for preparing, priming, and painting heavy equipment

components and assembled units, including grapple trucks, grapple loaders, and knuckle boom

loaders. This role ensures high-quality finishes that meet company standards for durability,

corrosion resistance, and appearance while maintaining a safe and compliant work

environment.
