Job Description

Our core competencies include systems engineering, program management, logistics, production support, aircraft maintenance, and aviation/aerospace services. Responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings, including paints and lacquers, to products and surfaces using spray guns, brushes, or other application methods.

Essential Job Functions

  • Operate machines and equipment used in coating and painting processes.
  • Prepare surfaces by washing, treating, sanding, and applying necessary solutions (e.g., oil, turpentine, mildew remover) to ensure proper finish adhesion.
  • Review work orders or follow supervisor instructions to determine job requirements.
  • Inspect finished work pieces to verify quality and conformance to specifications.
  • Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas according to established procedures.
  • Keep work areas organized and return materials and tools to proper storage after use.
  • Properly dispose of waste materials upon completion of assignments.
  • Report any injuries, unsafe conditions, or equipment malfunctions to the Shop Manager immediately.
  • Consistently follow safety procedures and wear appropriate protective equipment.
  • Create and apply stencils, and brush or spray lettering and decorative elements on surfaces as required.

Schedule

The standard schedule consists of 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday or 12-hour shifts Friday through Sunday. Flexibility is required to work evenings, weekends, and additional hours as needed to meet workload demands.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Prior painting experience or completion of vocational training is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to identify and select appropriate tools and equipment for each task.
  • Effective communication skills, including active listening, clear verbal expression, and appropriate questioning.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated coordination skills to work effectively with others and adapt to team needs.
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all safety protocols without exception.
  • Must be a U.S citizen.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Working Conditions

Work is performed primarily in a manufacturing environment with regular exposure to elevated noise levels, hazardous chemicals and odors, and airborne particles or flying debris. Appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) is required, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures is essential.
