To ensure a safe, efficient, well-maintained hotel environment while providing maintenance services to guests in a courteous, professional, and engaging manner.
Responsibilities:
◦ Maintain all public areas, guest rooms, meeting rooms and corridors on an on-going basis including paint, wallpaper and plastering.
◦ Performs preventive maintenance of guest rooms, following preventive maintenance guidelines for Omni CARE program.
◦ Maintain correct stock/inventory of paint supplies and materials and communicate when replenishment is needed.
◦ Aid guests in locating other areas of the hotel (walk them to destination if possible).
◦ Have a thorough understanding of Omni's fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
◦ Must be familiar with Omni's systems and procedures.
◦ Respond to all requests.
◦ Assist engineers and mechanics as needed with repairs.
◦ Keep all work areas clean.
Qualifications:
◦ Previous experience as a commercial painter required, hotel experience preferred.
◦ Must be able to brush, roll, spray, and work on different textures.
◦ Must be able to patch, float and repair damaged surfaces.
◦ Must be able to work with stains, lacquers, varnishes, epoxy and Bondo.
◦ Must be able to apply caulk.
◦ Must be willing to work based on business and occupancy levels.
◦ Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
◦ Must be able to interact and communicate with the hotel guests.
◦ Move, bend, lift, carry, crawl, squat, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
◦ Must work indoors and outdoors including during extreme weather conditions.
◦ May be asked to be part of “ride-out” crew during severe weather events.
◦ Must be able to work using ladders, scissors, and aerial lifts.
• Tools and Equipment:
◦ Painting/finishing tools and equipment, ladder, telephone, pen/pencil, photo-copying machine and push to talk radio
• Working Environment:
◦ Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance. Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift. Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
