Job Description

Painter I is responsible for operating equipment to apply high-quality coatings to parts, including mixing paint, cleaning, and performing preventive maintenance on paint systems. Ensures high-quality finishes, maintains equipment, and adheres to safety and environmental standards.

What Will You Do?

  • Prepare and mix paint according to specifications, including the use of thinners and additives asrequired
  • Set up and adjust powder coating materials to meet production and quality standards.
  • Operate and calibratepaint equipment to ensureconsistent application andhigh-quality finish.
  • Performdetailedtouch-upworkon areasnot accessibleby automated paint systems tomaintainfinish integrity.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas in alignment with world-class manufacturing standards.
  • Consistently meet or exceed quality and productivity expectations within the paint department.
  • Ensure product finish quality,monitorproduction lines, and conduct daily area audits.
  • Notify the utility team or supervisor of any quality or equipment-related issues.
  • Communicate with conveyor loadersregardinghanging techniques to ensureoptimalpaint coverage and quality.
  • Consistentlymaintainsafe working conditions and promote a culture of safety.
  • Clean, inspect, andmaintainwet spray and powder coating equipment to ensureoptimalperformance.
  • Safely handle, store, and label hazardous materials and wastein accordance withcompany and regulatory guidelines.
  • Contribute andparticipatein continuous improvementactivities.
  • Other duties asassigned

What Do You Need?

  • High school diplomaor GED,required

  • Prior experiencemanufacturingpainting,preferred.

  • Readandcomprehendprocedures,operatorand safety manuals, etc.  

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • General computerproficiency, including the ability to navigate MS Office and other company systems. 

  • Mustsuccessfully complete apainting skills test.

  • Must meet all respiratory protection equipment policy requirements.

  • Stronginterpersonal skills in working with a variety of cross-functional teams. 

  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards
