Job Description


Paint Sales Associate Responsibilities


  • Provide knowledgeable assistance to customers with all product lines and services offered by the retail store, with particular emphasis on paint, paint sundries, and related products.

  • Assist customers in a professional and timely manner upon their entering the store.

  • Answer customer telephone calls promptly and in an appropriate manner per company guidelines.

  • Determine customer’s needs by asking questions and listening to the customer’s responses.

  • To suggestively sell additional merchandise to the customer, assisting the customer in completing their projects.

  • To actively participate in all provided training programs offered by the company.

  • To maintain merchandising standards established by store managers and others, including sales floor displays, promotional displays, etc.

  • To actively participate in daily store activities including unloading trucks, stocking shelves, carrying merchandise to a customer’s car.

  • Present a professional, neat appearance, maintain good attendance record, and arrive at work at the scheduled time.

  • Participate in all daily store housekeeping responsibilities, including interior and exterior maintenance, product organization, etc.

  • Have effective customer service skills and good attention to detail.

  • Be able to manage time efficiently with a strong willingness to learn.

  • Be able to operate a computer-based point of sale system and other computer-related activities in the store.

  • Have a valid driver’s license and make occasional deliveries to customers in a company vehicle.

  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Fundamental computer skills.

  • Strong organizational skills.

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must understand the urgency and importance of following up.

  • Knowledge of paint, paint sundries and related products strongly preferred.
