Job Description

Marshall Land Systems is seeking a Paint and Assembly Fitter to join our team in Moncton, NB. Reporting to the Supervisor, Components and Assembly, the Paint and Assembly Fitter will be responsible to provide flexible support to both paint and assembly departments.


Your responsibilities in this role:

  • Paint Department:
    • Responsible for prep work on containers and components including but not limited to:
    • Masking, taping, sanding, and blasting, as appropriate.
    • Under supervision, may mix paint, in accordance with paint manufacture’s specifications.
    • Under supervision, may assist with paint application.
    • Work in accordance with paint shop procedures (Housekeeping and good working practices).
    • Application of stencils.
  • Assembly Department:
    • Install components and panels into deployable shelters.
    • Provide suggestions and input to resolve any unexpected issues or challenges.
    • Fitting of machined parts, sheet metal brackets, pipework, pumps and valves to deployable shelters using hand and power tools.
  • Operate electric powered mobile equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities.
  • Record materials used and time taken on the electronic job tracking system.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Due to projected manufacturing demands, there may be a requirement to work shifts and overtime.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferred.
  • Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED, preferred.

Must be eligible to meet requirements of export control and security regulations including Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP) and Canadian government security clearances.
