JOB OVERVIEW Job Id: Y-MD-3498966 Profession: Physician Specialty: Pain Medicine Job Type: Locum Tenens Location: Elkins, WV Service Setting: Clinic/Private Practice, Hospital Coverage Type: Clinical Only Coverage Period: Dec 07, 2026 – Mar 08, 2027 Clinical Shift Schedule: Mon – Fri, 8:00a – 4:30p PATIENT INFORMATION Patient Demographics: Adults (30-80 years) Patient Volume/Census: 15+ per day FACILITY INFORMATION EMR System: Next Gen Support Staff Available: RNs: 2 Reason for Coverage: Supplemental Coverage PRIVILEGES & COMPLIANCE Hospital Privileges Required: Yes Credentialing Timeline: 60+ days REQUIRED PROCEDURES Fluoroscopically guided spinal injections Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections Medial branch blocks Radiofrequency ablations (RFA) of lumbar/cervical medial branches Joint injections SI joint injections Facet injections Trigger-point injections Peripheral nerve blocks Ultrasound guided injections/procedures Experience with intrathecal pumps (preferred) JOB REQUIREMENTS Licenses:WV License, IMLC or providers that qualify for the temp WV Board: Board Certified in Pain Medicine (or eligible) DEA: Required Certifications: Pain Fellowship (accredited) Experience: 5 years minimum in Pain Medicine DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Provide comprehensive pain management services in outpatient clinic and hospital setting. Perform fluoroscopically guided spinal injections including cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections. Perform medial branch blocks, radiofrequency ablations, and facet joint injections. Conduct ultrasound-guided injections and procedures. Manage patient caseload of approximately 15 patients per day, including follow-up and treatment planning.
