THE ROLE:

As a Paid Performance Manager, you will be aperformancespecialist with extensive search managementexperienceand client facing skills.You will be dedicated to a single client – one of the most globally recognised, fashion centric shoe retailers, with activation spanning US,Canadaand EMEA.

The principal elements of the role will be to manage 1-2Paid Performance Executivesinthe pursuit of performance excellenceYou willbe responsible forcampaign implementation, analysis, optimisation, delivery and evaluation across paid search and all relevant formats, such as Performance Max, Demand Genetc.Working alongside thePaid Performance Directorwhere relevant, you will also have a chance to heavily influence strategy and lead on the implementation of innovative,new solutionsfor your client It is essential you have a strong retail background andare able todeliver effectively on a scaled, international retailer.

 There will be a heavy client facing element to this role, asyou’llbe requiredtoleadweekly calls/meetings and lead onor parts oflarger monthly and quarterly meetings, with the support of your line manager. As such,it’sessential you feel comfortable with clients, havestrong communicationskills, as well as a proactive attitude and a real hunger for success. 

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Responsiblefor the creation and management ofPPCcampaigns to effectively deliver clientobjectivesand targets. 

  • Being a technical lead and point of authority on search, shopping,pMax,DemandGen etc.

  • Oversee and manage optimisation of campaigns through utilisation of bid management tools

  • Drive best practice on your client, and through your team; specifically, improving the quality of campaign delivery,innovationand automation. 

  • Developing and planning holistic paid performance strategieslargely independently, but with the support of your line manager whererequired

  • Overseeing and/or executing the optimisation of campaigns, both manual and automated, utilising the full breadth off tools and technologies at your disposal

  • Developing a rich understanding of your clients’ audience and the consumer journey for their vertical, always striving to deliver richer insight to clients. 

  • Helping to drive innovation and creative solutions for clients, ensuring media firstsetc.

  • Complete and manage the forecast/ plan of monthly budgets in-line with clientobjectives

  • Ensuringtimelydelivery of all team reporting and analysis outputs. 

  • Independently manage personal development plans for all direct reports

  • Ensure your direct reports havetimelyappraisals, and that these are logged intoourHR portal. 

  • Develop paid searchexpertise, techknowledgeand all-round skill set of your direct reports. 

  • Provide regular support and advice to help progress direct reports. 

  • Provide clear and defined roles and responsibilities for each position in your team – work with your line manager to ensure you havean accuraterole breakdown.

  • Being the main point of contact for clientsfor the Paid Search channeland interpreting and communicating performance strategy or campaign data as and whenrequired

  • Maintain, and grow strong relationships with relevant day to day client stakeholders. 

  • Client facing presentations on strategy, campaignrecommendationsandsubsequentresults. 

  • Develop andmaintaindevelopment plans, roadmaps, media plans, and lead on strategy

  • Design innovative test-and-learn programs that deliver on the over-arching client strategy

  • Work with your line manager to create high quality case studies torepresentyour clients’ best activation work, as well as entering (and winning!) industry awards. 

DESIRABLESKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • At least3+ years’ experience within a Performance remit, ideally within an agency environment. 

  • Proven experience of working with enterprise level clients and large budgets (£1 million+)

  • Extensive experience and proven certification across Google Ads,MicrosoftAds etc.

  • Experience and up to date knowledge competitor tools (SimilarWeb,Adthena,SEMRushetc.). 

  • Must be able to communicate well, interpretsearchtoclientsand manage client expectations.  

  • Good numeracy skills with strong knowledge/ experience of MS Excel.  

  • Management experience isdesirable but notessential.

  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritise workload across yourdirect reports  

  • Excellent communicator – written and verbal, with the ability to present confidently.
