Position Summary
Sabel Systems is seeking a Summer Operations IT Intern to support our internal technology environment and day-to-day IT operations within a government contracting (GovCon) environment. This paid summer internship is ideal for students pursuing information technology, computer science, or cybersecurity-related degrees who want hands-on experience supporting enterprise systems and mission-driven programs.
Work You’ll Do
As an Intern, you will work closely with experienced IT and security professionals to support internal users, systems, and infrastructure while learning how secure, reliable technology enables the successful delivery of solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

Work You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Provide support for internal IT operations, including user account management, device setup, and basic troubleshooting
- Assist with maintaining and monitoring laptops, desktops, peripherals, and related IT assets
- Support IT ticketing workflows and document common issues and resolutions
- Assist with system updates, patching, and basic configuration activities
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity team members to support secure computing practices
- Help maintain IT documentation, procedures, and inventories
- Gain exposure to enterprise tools, cloud environments, and security-focused IT operations

Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Strong academic record, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Basic understanding of computer systems, operating systems, and networking concepts
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset
- Ability to manage tasks, follow procedures, and work collaboratively
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred (Not Required)
- Exposure to Windows and/or macOS environments
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, Microsoft 365, or endpoint management tools
- Interest in cybersecurity, system administration, or cloud infrastructure

Work Location & Schedule
- The 2026 Summer Internship Program runs June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026, and is open to candidates located within the United States.
- This internship is fully remote, supporting Eastern Standard Time Zone hours, however for candidates local to our Beavercreek, OH office one (1) day a week will be required to work onsite, otherwise remote.
- This internship has an expected commitment of 40 hours per week.
- This internship pays $25.00 per hour.
