Position Summary
Sabel Systems is seeking a Summer Finance Intern to support our internal finance and accounting operations within a government contracting (GovCon) environment. This paid summer internship is ideal for students pursuing finance, accounting, or business degrees who want hands-on experience supporting mission-driven programs and gaining exposure to real-world financial operations.
Work You’ll Do
As an Intern, you will work closely with experienced finance professionals to support project financials, internal controls, invoicing, and reporting while learning how financial discipline enables timely, secure delivery of solutions for Department of Defense (DoD) customers.

Work You’ll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Assist with day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including data entry, reconciliation, and reporting support
- Support tracking and monitoring of project financials, budgets, and expenditures
- Help maintain financial documentation in accordance with internal controls and compliance requirements
- Assist with invoice preparation and review for accuracy and completeness
- Support monthly close activities and basic financial analysis
- Collaborate with finance team members and project stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate financial information
- Gain exposure to government contracting financial processes, cost tracking, and compliance considerations

Qualifications
Required
- Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong academic record, cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
- Ability to analyze data, work with numbers, and maintain accuracy
- Experience with Microsoft Excel and basic financial tools
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future.
Preferred
- Coursework or interest in government contracting, cost accounting, or financial compliance
- Exposure to financial systems, ERP tools, or accounting software
- Interest in data analysis, reporting, or financial modeling

Work Location & Schedule
- The 2026 Summer Internship Program runs June 1, 2026, through August 7, 2026, and is open to candidates located within the United States.
- This internship is fully remote and supports the Eastern Standard Time Zone, with an expected commitment 40 hours per week, depending on department needs.
- This internship pays $25.00 per hour.
