PURPOSE OF CONSULTANCY

The Pan American Health Organization relies on Microsoft 365 and SharePoint Online to support collaboration, content management, and information sharing across the organization. A Junior SharePoint Administrator is needed to assist in maintaining and supporting these platforms.

The purpose of this consultancy is to deliver technical support, administration, configuration, security, governance, and operational services. Ensure SharePoint remains reliable, secure, compliant, and consistently aligns with organizational information management, collaboration, and digital transformation objectives, while providing users with dependable service and effective solutions to common SharePoint requirements.

OF DUTIES:

Objectives

  • Support the maintenance, configuration, and administration of SharePoint Online sites and components.
  • Assist with managing permissions, access requests, and site structure.
  • Help troubleshoot SharePoint and Microsoft 365 issues reported by users.
  • Contribute to documentation and user support resources.
  • Support governance, compliance, and content lifecycle procedures.

Scope of Work

  • Assist with configuring and maintaining SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, and permissions.
  • Support site owners to configure and manage site settings, permissions, navigation, content types, metadata, and organizational best practices.
  • Process user access requests and perform regular permissions reviews.
  • Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for SharePoint-related issues and incidents.
  • Troubleshoot complex SharePoint problems and coordinate with Microsoft or third-party vendors when needed.
  • Assist with basic/complex workflow maintenance (Power Automate or Nintex), such as updating steps, troubleshooting errors, or documenting processes.
  • Help maintain content structure, navigation, and site usability.
  • Support governance implementation, including retention labels, compliance rules, and audit tasks.
  • Contribute to user guides, training materials, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with senior administrators and business units on ongoing improvements.

Deliverables

  • A stable, secure, and well-governed SharePoint Online environment.
  • Timely resolution of SharePoint incidents and service requests..
  • Basic workflow updates and error resolutions.
  • Periodic reports on usage, storage, security, and compliance.
  • Contributions to training materials and knowledge repositories.

Duration and Reporting

  • Assignment Duration: 1 year.
  • Reports to: Enterprise Portal Administration and Development Specialist.
  • Collaborates With: IT infrastructure teams, business users, and content owners.

Qualifications and Experience

Essential:

  • Minimum first University degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • At least 3 year of experience working with SharePoint Online or Microsoft 365 tools.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint lists, libraries, permissions, and content management.
  • Familiarity with core Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Knowledge of workflow and automation tools (Power Automate, Nintex).
  • Strong attention to detail, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

Language

  • Working knowledge of Spanish or English.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Nintex Workflows or Forms.
  • Basic knowledge of Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps).
  • Understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or SharePoint Framework.
  • Familiarity with governance, compliance, and security concepts.

Payment rate:

  • This consultancy is Band A
  • Pay range from $3,440 - $3,900 (Daily rate $172-$215)
