Job Description

Make every working day mean something. Join Komplex Care and deliver specialist, nurse-led complex care that enables people with lifelong clinical needs to live safely and comfortably at home.

Role: Paediatric Care Assistant

Location: Wakefield, West Yorkshire

Hours: Days & Sleep Night

Payrate: £16.00 per hour & Sleep Rate

Care That Makes Life Possible

You’ll support a child in Wakefield by providing safe, compassionate and consistent care within the comfort of their own home.

They live with complex care needs and require support with their day-to-day routine and activities. Their care includes epilepsy management, gastrostomy feeding and medication administration, moving and handling, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, CVC line use and management, and oxygen therapy. Beyond their clinical needs, they enjoy sports, movies and social activities, and you’ll play an important role in helping them safely enjoy the things that matter most to them.

With nurse-led oversight, individualised clinical training and the wider Komplex Group behind you, you’ll provide the standard of care you’d want for your own family.

Benefits

Fully paid, face-to-face training and ongoing career development

24/7 GP access for you and your immediate family

Free mental health support and wellbeing activities

Life insurance and confidential advice for everyday challenges

Retail discounts for brands including Amazon, Tesco and Nike

Up to 33% off selected gym membership

Employee of the Month recognition, including a £50 voucher

Structured rotas to support a healthy work-life balance

Your Role as a Care Assistant

You’ll join a dedicated, nurse-led team providing hands-on care for individuals with lifelong and potentially life-critical clinical needs.

This is NOT standard domiciliary care. You’ll follow detailed clinical care plans, monitor changes in the individual’s condition and perform the specialist interventions needed to keep them safe, stable and comfortable at home. Your responsibilities may include:

Providing personal care, medication and clinical interventions

Monitoring clinical observations and recognising deterioration

Maintaining accurate records and escalating concerns immediately

What We’re Looking For

This is more than a job. You’ll be trusted with someone’s safety and wellbeing while delivering care that requires skill, focus and sound judgement. It takes a certain kind of person: someone compassionate, dependable and highly attentive who can remain calm and act correctly under pressure. We also require the following:

A full UK driving licence

Experience in care or confidence undertaking clinical training

Excellent attention to detail and situational awareness

The ability to follow detailed clinical protocols consistently

Basic IT skills for communication and record-keeping

A genuine commitment to safe, person-centred care

Komplex Care provides nurse-led care at home for adults and children with lifelong, complex clinical needs.

Our teams support individuals requiring interventions such as ventilation, tracheostomy care, suctioning, gastrostomy support and neurological care. Every package includes individualised training, consistent care teams and ongoing nurse-led clinical oversight.

Make every working day mean something. Join Komplex Care and deliver specialist, nurse-led complex care that enables people with lifelong clinical needs to live safely and comfortably at home.

Note: We are unable to offer sponsorship. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
