We are currently seeking an experienced and confident Band 7 Paediatric Acute/Neonates Speech and Language Therapist to join a dedicated healthcare team in Epsom This is a part-time position within a specialist acute setting, providing essential speech and language therapy services to neonates and paediatric patients
This role is ideally suited to a skilled and autonomous clinician with extensive experience in neonatal care, capable of working independently within a fast-paced and multidisciplinary clinical environment. You will play a key role in the assessment, diagnosis, and management of feeding and communication difficulties in neonates, contributing directly to improved patient outcomes in a critical care context.
In this role, you will:
Independently assess, diagnose, and manage speech, language, and feeding disorders in neonates and paediatric patients.
Work closely with neonatal and paediatric medical teams to develop and deliver tailored intervention plans.
Provide support and training to families and caregivers regarding feeding and communication strategies.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date clinical documentation in line with professional standards.
Participate in multi-disciplinary team meetings and care planning discussions.
To be considered for this role, you must have:
A recognised degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent).
HCPC registration and eligibility for RCSLT membership.
Significant post-qualification experience working with neonates and children in acute care settings
Confidence in managing complex feeding and communication needs independently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
