Summary
The Administrative Assistant is responsible for administrative services for the executive management team.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other Duties not listed may be assigned.
Daily Responsibilities - % of Job 90%
- Arrange travel accommodations (hotel and car, both local and out of town) for executive staff.
- Run local errands (local purchases, lunch for meetings, post office runs, etc.).
- Organize and execute company events. (Onsite sales, contest, raffles, vendor events, cookouts, group photos, holiday cards, holiday events, job fairs, customer events, etc.)
- Organize meeting planning and setup. (Drinks, snacks, condiments, lunch, room reservation, signage, etc.)
- Organize employee morale events. (Contests, event discounts, weather related employee benefits)
- Develop and display internal event communication models. (Signs, posters, banners, emails, announcements)
- Serve as research assistant on specialty projects.
- Procure and distribute promotional products.
- Sort and deliver USPS mail to SMS staff.
- Contract and maintain water coolers and vending machines.
- Serve as company photographer.
- Assign year-end inventory tasks and ensure staff training.
- Maintain all company bulletin and white boards.
- Respond to questions and requests for information.
- Implement and monitor programs as directed by management and see the programs through to completion.
- Other duties as assigned.

QualificationsEducation and/or Experience
- Requires 1-2 Years Experience
- Requires advanced Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills.

Working Conditions
Must be able to tolerate moderate to high noise levels in a warehouse environment. Office and outside environmental conditions found in the warehouse, hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Individuals may need to walk for an extensive period of time while working and walking the facilities; to reach over shoulder heights; bend or stoop below the waist; repetitive wrist, hand, or finger movement; occasional lifting up to 10 pounds.
