Job Description

Join Ironwear's printing team in Deer Park, Texas, and help customize personal protective equipment for industrial customers around the world. This role emphasizes pad printing, including equipment setup, ink preparation and accurate print placement. You'll also operate screen-printing and heat-transfer equipment according to production work orders.

This is a full-time, on-site position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate pad-printing equipment to apply artwork to PPE and other products.
  • Prepare inks and materials for each pad-printing job and adjust print placement and alignment for consistent results.
  • Match artwork, work orders and pick tickets to the correct products before printing.
  • Check print placement, alignment, ink coverage and color consistency against artwork and work orders at setup and throughout production. Make adjustments or promptly report quality issues.
  • Set up and register multi-color screen-printing jobs according to production work orders. Operate screen-printing and heat-transfer equipment safely.
  • Prepare and reclaim screens, mix inks, and complete job setup and breakdown.
  • Clean and maintain printing equipment and keep the work area organized. Follow safety procedures when handling inks and cleaning materials, and promptly report equipment problems.
  • Coordinate with the production team to meet daily output expectations and shipping deadlines.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience with pad-printing equipment, screen-printing presses or heat-transfer equipment. Two or more years of printing experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with pad-printing setup, ink preparation, print alignment and quality control.
  • Experience with screen preparation and reclamation, multi-color registration, and four-color or simulated-process printing.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude or previous hands-on manufacturing or production experience.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail, ability to follow work instructions, and willingness to learn printing processes and equipment.
  • Basic computer skills for order lookups and updates.
  • Clear communication, organization and the ability to work with a production team.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Work environment

This role involves standing for extended periods in a dedicated print room.
