About the role

We are seeking a Packing Officer to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Working closely with our chemical formulators, you will provide assistance across the end-to-end chemical manufacturing process. This is a key role with a strong focus on accurately packaging and labelling chemicals in preparation for distribution. With the backing of the Elders network, you will be supported to learn and grow your career.


Responsibilities

As a key member of the team, you will:

  • Package and fill chemical products into various types of bottles and containers whilst observing Safety standards to specific Quality standards.
  • Read and interpret packing and safety instructions before a campaign, and identify and report any concerns or inconsistencies to the supervisor.
  • Participate in new product introductions (NPI), contributing to the development of packing and safety instructions for new products and supporting Management of Change (MOC) processes.
  • Labelling various bottles and cartons to specifications.
  • Maintaining quality records and recording material usages.
  • Some manual lifting is required.
  • Keeping work area clean to acceptable standards.
  • Undertake manual handling duties, including lifting and moving stock and materials as required.

About you

  • A strong communicator, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Prepared to safely perform manual handling of chemical products.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach and takes initiative in identifying and addressing tasks and opportunities.
  • Committed to adhering to safety procedures.
  • A forklift license and experience in a similar role would be advantageous.
