Job Description

Titan Florida has an opening for a Packhouse Utility in the Cement Division. This wage, non-exempt position is assigned to the Production Department and will report to the Packhouse Supervisor. Packhouse Utility is responsible for conducting inspections, lubricating the Packhouse machinery, maintaining the housekeeping of the area, and assisting with minor maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Comply with and support all MSHA and Company mandated safety rules, policies & procedures.
• Maintain Packhouse housekeeping and safety initiatives.
• Conduct inspections, lubrication, and maintain the housekeeping of the area.
• Assist Packhouse Packer complete daily reports (safety, equipment, production, etc.)
• Inspect and keep the equipment operational, clean, and safe.
• Resolve material flow problems in the transfer system that may occur from the Silo to the Packhouse.
• Assist Packhouse Packer resolve minor issues to maintain the efficiency of the operation, or escalate concerns to Packhouse Supervisor, or their designee.
• Communicate and maintain decorum over a two-way radio.
• Report equipment breakdowns or safety concerns to Packhouse Supervisor, or their designee.
• Must safely operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and bobcats.
• Could be assigned to other areas of the Plant to assist with production or housekeeping during major equipment shutdowns.
• Must assist the Maintenance team, as necessary.
• Collect samples from Packhouse product line as necessary.
• Any other duties assigned by the Production Management Team.

Qualifications

• Safety minded.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English, preferred
• Must be able to lift a minimum of 94 lbs.
• Must be capable of heavy physical labor work.
• Ability to work with others.
• Must be available for overtime as required.
• Must be comfortable working in high places and confined spaces.
• Familiarity with hand and pneumatic tools a plus.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Have a current driver’s license.
• Able to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk or hear.
• High School diploma or GED, preferred.
• 1-2 or more years related experience working in a Cement Plant and/or training, required.

Shift: Rotating shifts, holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.
