About the Role
The Packer is responsible for hand-packing a variety of finished products and materials in preparation for shipment. This role involves inspecting items for quality, securely wrapping and labeling them according to company standards, and palletizing goods to meet production order requirements. Packers must follow all safety guidelines to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
1st shift operating hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm Monday-Friday.
What You Will Do
Consistently demonstrate safe work practices and promote a culture of safety among team members.
Adhere strictly to all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Coordinate and communicate with production teams to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of packing tasks.
Keep the warehouse and operational areas clean, organized, and well-maintained to support safety and efficiency.
Assist production teams in the handling and preparation of products for packing.
Check and identify components at the machine to ensure accuracy and readiness for packing.
Identify and report any defective items before they are packed or shipped, ensuring only quality products are processed.
Count, measure, and weigh materials and finished products to verify quantities and compliance with specifications.
Ensure that all packed products meet Essity’s quality and workmanship standards consistently.
Contribute to continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance packing processes and efficiency.
Who You Are
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Prior experience in manufacturing or a related field is preferred.
Proficiency in basic mathematics, reading, and writing.
Strong work ethic with a commitment to reliability and punctuality.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow within the role.
Commitment to maintaining quality standards throughout the production process.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Willingness to adapt to changing work assignments and schedules.
Bilingual in Spanish is preferred to support communication across diverse teams.
Position requires constant walking or standing.
Must be able to climb ladders.
Occasional bending or kneeling.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Must be able to push/pull rolls weighing up to 200 pounds with assistance.
Must have sufficient hand strength to carry-out job responsibilities.

Expected Compensation:
$16 + quarterly incentive bonus + benefits.
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors such as knowledge, skills, and experience.
