Packaging Technician
Department: Operations
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: Riverbank, CA
Reporting To: Management
Compensation: $18.00 / hour
A packaging technician has the responsibility of preparing bulk cannabis, extract, and flower for retail sale. This is a manufacturing position in a production environment.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities include the following:
• Show up on time with a positive and energetic attitude.
• Maintain strict paper records of weighed product, boxed items, equipment maintenance, QC, and duration to complete the task.
• Record keeping of all details pertinent to packaging, inventory and QC.
• Follow all standard operations procedures set forth by management.
• Counting, sorting, labeling, assembling, bagging, sealing and boxing
• Fill flower jars and concentrate to a specific weight.
• Packaging products with accuracy.
• Cleaning of packaging equipment and facility.
• Maintaining strict inventory records of product, materials, and equipment.
• Storing of supplies and equipment, disposal of waste, and keeping work area in pristine condition.
• Working collectively and respectfully with other team members.
• Culture of safety and attention to detail.
• Weighs and packages flower, pre-rolls, concentrates and edibles.
• Packaging and labeling of other various Aeriz products.
Qualifications
• Must be 21+ years old
• Pass a Background Check
• Ability to jar 700 eights per 8hr shift.
• Ability to jar 5,000 pre-rolls per 8hr shift
• Ability to work full 8hrs+ shifts.
• Ability to work nights and weekends.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, climb, stretch and lift up to 50 pounds. Requires the manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and hand tools.
Work Environment:
This position involves a fair amount of manual labor which requires repetitive tasks. This position operates indoor which can reach different temperatures. This position may require working at heights up to or exceeding 10 feet. The site operates on weekends and holidays, and standard work hours may apply regardless of day or season.
