Job Description

Organon is hiring a Project Packaging Support Technician (FTC) to join the Transformation team and play a key role in delivering the business' biggest capital project globally. We are building a new facility and installing multiple high speed blister packaging lines.

There are a number of sub-streams within the project, and therefore your duties will change accordingly. This may include design, build, testing against requirements, operational assessment, and implementation activities, for yourself and the team.

This role is offered as a 24-month Fixed Term Contract.

Responsibilities

• Perform fault finding on equipment, including automated systems and networks. Diagnose faults, organise internal/external resources and source parts.
• Support packaging project activities within agreed timelines and budgets, including FAT, SAT, IQ/OQ, PQ and PV activities where applicable.
• To maintain and repair equipment within designated areas, such that packaging priorities are met, and the equipment performs to its optimum capability.
• Raise Change Control and Atypical Engineering Maintenance Observations etc. and manage to completion.
• The Packaging Support Technician helps ensure that cGMP documentation is completed accurately, including work orders in the CMMS system, and provides support to the Packaging Engineer and Validation Engineers during project execution and validation activities.
• Relevant training in contractor/permit work systems to support vendor/contractor visits.
• Effective mentoring/coaching of others, including Process Operators, in the appropriate technical skills to overcome problem areas and improve performance by introduction of best practices.
• Support training and development activities for new processes, systems, and machinery.

Required Education, Experience and Skills 

• Strong professional background in Packaging Operations is essential.
• Technical qualification (e.g. Level 3 Mechanical Engineering) and/or relevant experience is essential.
• Experience supporting technical transfers, equipment qualification, or process validation is essential.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and tooling requirements.
• Good problem solver, capable of interpreting multiple break-down scenarios across Packaging equipment.
