Our client, a Tier 1 automotive supplier is seeking a Packaging Specialist to support packaging operations and broader supply chain initiatives at their new facility in Greenville, SC The Packaging Specialist - Supply Chain Project Management acts as a key point of contact for packaging-related activities, ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant packaging solutions across multiple sites and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities
Serveasthemainpointofcontactfor all packaging-relatedtopicsinternally and externally
Develop and implementpackagingconceptsforrawmaterials, WIP, and finishedgoods
Ensuretherightpackagingmaterials (boxes, containers, etc.) areavailable and optimize
Coordinatepackagingacross internal sites and external supplierstoimproveefficiency and cost
Plan and calculatepackaging and logisticscostsduringquotation and projectphases
Maintain and update packagingspecifications, instructions, and documentation
Manage packagingmasterdata and relatedinformation in SAP and customerportals
Conduct packagingtests, inspections, and approvalstoensurecompliance
Collaboratewithpurchasing, production, sales, and supplierstoalignpackagingsolutions
Support broadersupplychainactivitiesasdirectedbythe Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications
Bachelor’sdegreeor relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Packaging, orrelatedfield
Experience in packaging, materials, orsupplychain operations
Strong understandingofshipping, logistics, and inventoryprocesses
High attentiontodetail and strong organizational skills
Experience workingwithsuppliers and cross-functionalteams
SAP experiencestronglypreferred
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritizeeffectively
Strong communication and problem-solvingskill
