About the role
We are looking for a Packaging Regulatory Specialist who will take ownership of regulatory compliance across our packaging portfolio in Europe. This is a standalone, high-impact role, working closely with Global Packaging, R&D, and Sustainability teams.
You will play a key role in interpreting complex regulations and translating them into practical business actions, ensuring our products remain compliant, competitive, and ready for market.
Your responsibilities
Own and track European packaging regulations (e.g. PPWR, EPR, packaging taxes, environmental claims)
Act as the go-to expert for packaging compliance across the business
Monitor regulatory developments and translate them into clear internal guidance
Support new product development and innovation projects from a regulatory perspective
Perform risk assessments and compliance evaluations across the product lifecycle
Represent the company in external bodies (e.g. industry associations, EU-level discussions)
Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Packaging, Sustainability, and Finance
Support ecolabeling processes (e.g. EU Ecolabel, Nordic Swan, C2C)
What we’re looking for
Experience in packaging regulations / regulatory affairs / compliance
Strong knowledge of PPWR, EPR, packaging legislation (EU level + country specifics is a plus)
Ability to translate regulations into business impact (this is key)
Comfortable working independently in a standalone expert role
Strong communication skills – able to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Fluent in English

Additional information
Hybrid model (3 days/week on site in Breukelen)
Travel: ~10% (mainly within Europe – e.g. Brussels, Amsterdam, Germany)
