Position Overview:
The CVS Packaging Operator will be responsible for a wide variety of weighing, mixing, filling and packaging activities including weighing packaged materials, filling boxes, sealing packages.
Who you’ll work with:
- This role reports directly into our Production Supervisor but has partnership with the Operations Manager, supply chain team, and operators.
What You’ll Do:
- Essential Duties
- - Count and hand pack individual boxes of finished product in an orderly and efficient manner.
- - Organize packaged products into shipping boxes and then place on skids.
- - Participate in inventory cycle counting and other physical duties as assigned.
- Quality Control and Documentation
- - Read, follow, and complete work orders and additional documentation as required.
- - Comply with internal quality system and general company policies.
- - Able to follow procedures relating to proper storage and handling of chemicals, labels, and other packaging supplies.
- Safety and Maintenance
- - Identify and support continuous improvement initiatives in production processes
- - Follow all written and verbal instructions and guidelines
- - Communicate and work effectively with team members to meet production goals and quotas
- - Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
- - Observe all safety guidelines and report concerns to management.
- - Maintain a clean, organized work area and equipment

QualificationsWhat You’ll Bring:
- High school diploma or G.E.D and one or more years’ related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret, proof, type and handle all common clerical functions
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure
Physical Requirements/Working Locations –
Manufacturing/Distribution Environment
This position operates in a manufacturing plant environment. The role routinely involves working around machinery, equipment, and moving mechanical parts. The facility may be subject to varying temperatures, loud noise levels, and airborne particles such as dust or chemical fumes, depending on the area of the plant. This role may require periods of standing, sitting, or walking throughout the workday. Occasional bending, lifting, or carrying items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, control, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk. Hearing abilities required for this environment include being able to clearly hear and respond to audible alarms, production equipment, forklifts, and other machinery to maintain a safe work environment. Individuals must be able to distinguish and understand verbal communication including instructions, safety warnings, and team discussions, sometimes in an environment with moderate to high background noise.
