Packaging Material Planner Internship

• Location: ​Comet Spa - a tesa company
• Entry as: limited to max. 6 months
• Work Area: Logistics / Supply Chain

What you will do

The Packaging Materials Planner is responsible for supporting the planning, availability and operational management of a defined packaging materials assortment.
The role ensures material availability in line with production requirements by executing MRP planning activities, managing purchase orders, maintaining accurate master data and coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to prevent shortages. The position also supports packaging phase in/ phase out, trials and returns order management and continuous improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain function.

To support these responsibilities, you will be involved in the following activities

Order Management & Supplier Coordination

• Create purchase orders to suppliers according to defined lead time, MOQs and production requirements
• Manage order confirmations, delivery dates and quantities.
• Issue return orders to suppliers for non-conforming or complained materials.
• Issue trial orders for new materials
• Support packaging code changes, phase-in / phase-out processes and transitions to new materials (coordination between marketing, suppliers, planning)

Master Data & Systems Maintenance

• Maintain and update all relevant master data in the ERP system (including packaging cockpit and material parameters).
• Support the updating of supplier price lists and ensure proper electronic archiving in compliance with corporate policies.
• Support the creation of new delegated direct suppliers in the system, following standard group procedures.

Analysis & Continuous Improvement

• Contribute to functional and cross-functional projects aimed at process improvement, standardization and efficiency.
• Support the development, monitoring and analysis of Supply Chain indicator

What you will need

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Supply Chain Management or a related field.
• Knowledge of MS OFFICE (Excel, Word, Power Point), SAP optional
• Ability to read, analyse and interpret data
• Problem solving
• Good knowledge of English - spoken and written (B1)
• Excellent Italian (C2)
• Residence/Domicile: province of Varese or Como
