The Key PurposeofthisroleistomanagetherelevantMaintenanceSystems,sparesmanagement,generationofroutineandplannedmaintenanceschedules,providesupporttomaintenanceteamsinthe executionofmaintenanceandensuringrelevantPermit-to-Workareinplace.

Key Outputsand Responsibilities:

MaintenancePlanning

• Facilitateandleadtheplannedmaintenancepre-meetingwithafocusonrequiredwork,problemstobeaddressedandresourcerequirements

• Planallrequiredwork ontheplannedmaintenanceschedule

• Adhoctasksshouldbeincludedandprioritised andrelevantworksrequestsgenerated

• Determineresourcerequirementstocompleteworkandassigntaskstospecificresources

• Interactionwithdepartmentalheadstoobtain resourcesnecessaryfortaskcompletion

• Partakeinplannedmaintenanceperiodinsupportofthemaintenanceteam,assistingwithproblemsolving,workprioritisation andresourcere-allocation

• Rescheduleincompleteworktothenextplannedmaintenanceperiodandcaptureallrequiredinformationfromtheplannedmaintenanceperiodonthemaintenancesystems

• Facilitateandleadthemaintenance postmortemsanddocumentanyproblemsencountered,opportunitiesidentifiedandlessonslearned

ProblemSolving

• Whereproblemshaveoccurredduringroutineorplannedmaintenanceactivities,applystructured problem-solvingapproachtoresolve

• Whererequiredcallsinadditionalresourcestoassistinproblemssolvingorescalatetoengineerfordirection

• Assistfellowteammemberstoresolveproblemsonrequest

• Takepart,asafunctionalexpert,inFFA’sonrequest

Moreover:

• Ensure that all legal compliance and safety tasks are carried out on the specific time allocation

• Ensure that all maintenance KPIs meet the required targets set out by TSM manager

• Setup weekly/ yearly maintenance budget based on the tasks that is being carried out and ensure you are in control of the requested budgets

• Ensuremaintenanceandcleaningdayandannualshutdownprogramsarecompleted

• Ensureallrequiredassetcareworkiscarriedoutandcomplieswithassetcarestandards

• Ensuresparesneededtosupportassetcareprogramareavailableontimeandwithin costs

• IdentifyassetcaretrainingneedsintheMachineSpecialist’s aswellasintheshiftteamsandmakerecommendations

• AnalyseSAPmaintenancesystemtoidentifyrecurringproblemsandmakerecommendationstoenhancetheassetcareschedules

• Co-ordinatesresourceallocationofprocessartisansandmachinespecialistonmaintenanceandcleaningdayandannualshutdown

• Participate as a subject matter expert in asset care problem solving sessions

Minimum Requirements:

• N6 / DiplomainEngineering(Mechanical/Electrical)or equivalent

• Trade Tested Mechanical / Electrical / Instrumentation

• 3 - 5yearsproductionEngineering experience

• Worked as machine specialist in FMCG for at least 2 years (Advantageous)

• SolidSAPexperience

• Computer literate(ProficiencyinMicrosoftOfficepackage)

• UnderstandingofMaintenanceProcessesand Practices

• IndepthknowledgeofPackagingplantequipmentandprocesses

• Assertiveleadership,goodpeoplemanagement

• Strong diagnosticability
