About the Role

3M is seeking a Packaging Data Automation Analyst to join our global Packaging team. In this role, you will design and deliver data-driven solutions that empower business decisions across 3M's global teams. Working at the intersection of Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, and Process Automation, you will play a key role in driving efficiency and transparency across our Packaging functions worldwide.

This position offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional, multicultural teams across regions, applying modern BI and automation tools to solve real business problems at a global scale.

What You Will Do

• Partner with cross-functional stakeholders across regions to translate business needs into scalable digital solutions, driving efficiency and data transparency.
• Apply a rational, structured mindset to problem-solving, ensuring solutions are logical, sustainable, and aligned with business priorities.
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and governance across all dashboards, reports, and automated processes.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards that translate complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders across Packaging functions and regions.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze large datasets from multiple enterprise data sources.
• Build automation solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate) and SharePoint to streamline workflows, eliminate manual tasks, and improve productivity.
• Provide training, documentation, and coaching to end-users to promote adoption of self-service analytics and digital tools.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of relevant experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or digital solutions development.
• Strong technical expertise in dashboarding, data modeling, and process automation.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English required; Chinese (Mandarin) language skills are a plus.

Required Software Proficiency

• Power BI (advanced dashboard design, DAX, data modeling)
• SQL (query writing, optimization, data extraction and transformation)
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
• SharePoint (site design, lists, workflows, integration)
• Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Python and AWS are a plus

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering end-to-end dashboard and automation solutions that generated measurable business value.
• Experience integrating data from enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, PLM, CRM) into BI platforms.
• Strong rational and analytical mindset with the ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Demonstrated facility working with data, identifying patterns, and delivering clear, actionable recommendations.
• Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Self-starter with a proactive approach, initiative, and ability to manage rapidly changing priorities.
• Passion for digital innovation, automation, and continuous improvement.
• Experience collaborating with global/regional teams across different time zones.
