We are looking to hire a Packaging Chief to join our team at Santa Rosa, Querétaro.


What you can look forward as Packaging Engineer:

  • Creation and maintenance of packaging data in ERP systems (QAD/CEA), including master data updates for new programs and part numbers
  • Parameter setup for new programs and part numbers, ensuring correct system configuration
  • Packaging inventory control and reconciliation, including tracking discrepancies and coverage vs MPS
  • Technical supplier data management, including uploading/control of waybills (Carta Porte) and sending packaging requirements (carton, thermoformed, returnable)
  • Technical validation of new packaging, engineering changes, and compliance with customer standards (Ford, VW, among others)
  • Execution and validation of containment actions, documentation closure, and support for new program launches (NPI / SOP)
  • Analysis and follow-up of packaging flow issues, material shortages, and operational impacts on production
  • Support in problem-solving, including supplier corrective actions, line stoppage analysis, and technical evaluation of alternative packaging solutions

Your profile as Packaging Engineer

  • Relevant Engineering degree
  • 3 years of experience in Packaging Engineering within the automotive industry
  • Willingness to travel
  • Conversational English
  • Preferred experience with SAP or QAD
