We are looking for a Packaging Development Manager who combines hands‑on packaging development with clear focus and ownership for the PPWR compliance roadmap, and who enjoys shaping solutions in an international, cross‑functional environment.


What You Will Do

  • Own and drive the PPWR roadmap, translating regulatory requirements into clear priorities, guidelines, and implementation plans for packaging development.
  • Develop and optimize consumer packaging solutions, balancing functionality, sustainability, brand impact, and industrial feasibility.
  • Take lifecycle responsibility for selected packaging materials – from concept and specification through production release and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate across functions, working closely with Packaging Development, Sustainability, R&D, Quality, Procurement, Production, Marketing, and Logistics.
  • Work with external partners such as suppliers and agencies to industrialize and continuously improve packaging solutions.
  • Ensure transparent digital documentation and data quality for packaging specifications and compliance‑relevant information.
  • Monitor regulatory developments in packaging and communicate relevant impacts clearly and solution‑oriented to key stakeholders.


What you will need

What You Bring

  • Degree in Packaging Technology, Engineering, Data, Environmental/Material Science, or a comparable discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in packaging development, packaging engineering, or a related role within consumer products.
  • Solid understanding of PPWR and sustainable packaging requirements, with the ability to translate regulation into practical development guidance.
  • Structured, analytical mindset with a hands‑on, solution‑oriented approach
  • Strong project management and communication skills in an international, matrix organization.
  • Team‑oriented, proactive, and confident in interface roles.
  • Fluent English required; German is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in MS 365 Suite and SAP.
