Job Description

We are recruiting for a Packaging Design Admin Assistant to support the development of Harrods Collections luxury packaging by providing essential design coordination, creative administration, and project support across the seasonal product lifecycle. Please upload a portfolio [PDF document, ensuring the file is less than 5MB] for your application to be considered for this role.

About the Role

As a Packaging Design Admin Assistant, you will provide vital support to the Design team, with a particular focus on Packaging Design, helping to bring Harrods Collection packaging concepts to life from initial research through to final delivery. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will coordinate administrative activities, assist with creative development, and collaborate closely with Design, Buying, Technical, and Merchandising teams to ensure projects remain on track and key deadlines are achieved. You will play an important role in maintaining accurate design documentation, managing supplier communications, and supporting the successful execution of seasonal packaging collections.

Key responsibilities

  • Support the Packaging Designer in developing and delivering packaging collections, including concept boards, colour palettes, artwork updates, and design packs.
  • Prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and seasonal reviews, including printing, sample management, board preparation, and note-taking.
  • Maintain accurate design documentation, technical packs, online files, reference samples, and presentation materials to ensure information is current and accessible.
  • Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders, coordinating samples, materials, print techniques, design information, and project communications.
  • Monitor key dates and support cross-functional teams to ensure packaging projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and on schedule.

Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

Please see our Hybrid@Harrods policy on our Career Site for more information or speak to a member of our Talent Acquisition team if you have any questions regarding the requirements for this role.

About You

You will be a highly organised and proactive individual who thrives in a creative, fast-moving environment. You enjoy balancing administrative responsibilities with hands-on design support and are confident managing multiple priorities at once. You will be a collaborative team player with strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a positive, solutions-focused approach. Comfortable working across different stakeholders, you take pride in delivering accurate work and meeting tight deadlines. Most importantly, you will bring enthusiasm, creativity, and a genuine passion for packaging and luxury products.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Previous packaging experience within a luxury brand environment, a qualification in Packaging Design, or equivalent transferable experience.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop, alongside PowerPoint and other presentation tools.
  • The ability to translate sketches into digital artwork, create high-quality CAD visuals, and work confidently with packaging design documentation.
