The Application Engineer is responsible forenablingpacking methoddesigntomeetFunctional Requirement Specifications (FRS)and manufacturing excellenceofNexperiaproductdevelopment projects, assure post assembled product quality atstorageandtransportationenvironment, ultimatelycustomerease ofhandling product packingmethod that isin accordancewith EIA or/and IEC Standards
This is a 1-year contract position
What You Will Do
Develop packing methodintermsofcarrier tape,cover tape, PQ/SPQ label, innerbox.MBBetcbeingoptimaldesign at aspects ofNexperiadesign requirements, EIA/IECStandard,suppliercapabilitiesand customer applicationin a timely manner
Identifytechnical risks and provide mitigation proposals at theappropriate stageusing proper design tools such as Design FMEA andFitting SimulationAnalysis
Drive sound and effectivecontrolmethodologyofproduct packingprocess.
Ownmaterial design changecontrolofcarrier tape,cover tape, PQ/SPQlabel,innerbox..MBB etc
Ensurepacking materialiseffectively implemented throughout the entire development life cycle.
Work withsupplier quality and procurementto assess technologycapabilitiesof suppliers
Perform expert/consultant and support engineering team to assess andvalidatecontinueimprovement opportunitiesofcustomer’schange request/compliant
What You Will Need
Degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field. Master’s degree or higher is preferred.
Knowledge of IC/discrete package design.
Experience with design tools such as Simulation, Design FMEA, and CAD.
Experience in solder footprint design is preferred.
Creative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
Strong customer focus, proactive attitude, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Experience in handling customers is an advantage.
Good interpersonal and presentation skills in cross-site and cross-functional environments.
Good command of written and spoken English.Proficiencyin Putonghua is an advantage.
Willingness to travel occasionally.
