Job Description

Richardson Durum Milling, a division of Richardson International, is North America’s single largest durum miller. Richardson specializes in durum and is known for its Italgrani semolina flour, manufactured and sold by U.S. Durum Milling Inc.

A Forklift/Pack Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of the packaging equipment and general warehouse duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all scheduled production can be made, with complete stocking of all raw materials and packaging materials before the line is set up.

  • Optimize operational efficiencies to support the facility's production, packaging, warehousing, and shipping operations.

  • Optimize ingredient and packaging material usage to minimize waste.

  • Ensure the production floor is organized and clean at all times.

  • Work with other departments to ensure production is fulfilling Quality and production standards.

  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.

  • Must follow SOP’s, GMP’s, OSHA and HAACP guidelines at all times.

  • Make recommendations for line efficiency and productivity improvements.

  • Communicate effectively with other employees in mill and loadout departments and assist when needed.

  • This role requires regular presence on the plant floor, requires lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in packaging/warehouse a plus.

  • Experience operating tractor-trailer and forklift.

  • Ability to communicate effectively.
