Job Description

  • Collaborates and interacts cross-functionally within BMW Group.
  • Utilizes and develops communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Steers process and product improvements through innovations and problem- solving tools to drive the business forward.
  • Understands and interprets BMW financial and procurement processes.
  • Utilizes various systems to conduct statistical analysis and data visualizations.
  • Accelerates professional and technical development in an automotive engineering environment.
  • Completes technical & process skills training as required by each rotation department.
  • Advances language skills through German courses.
  • Works independently to carry out assigned project responsibilities.
  • Performs all duties outlined in the Assignment Objectives for each rotation.
  • Completes 3 rotations in different roles throughout the plant before graduating from the PACE program.
  • Participates and accomplishes all PACE program trainings and assigned meetings.
  • Understands and models VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving.
  • Adheres to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field OR MA/MS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business, Human Resources, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Overall cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Most recent degree must be completed within 12 months prior to program start date.
  • Minimum 3 months of Intern/Co-op or equivalent experience in a discipline area related to degree and/or professional focus, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • 3+ years of MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Access).
  • 3+ years of communication skills (written, verbal and presentation).
  • 1+ years of leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Basic understanding of business strategy and concepts.
  • Basic skills in problem-solving and data analytics.
  • Basic skills in process control and project management (preferred).
  • German language skills (preferred).
