Job Location: Medina Regional Hospital 3100 Ave E - Hondo, TX 78861 Position Type: PRN Travel Percentage: None Job Shift: VaryingPOSITION PURPOSE: Interviews incoming patient or representative and enters information required for admission by performing the following duties. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: - Interviews patient or representative to obtain accurate demographics. - Explains hospital regulations such as visiting hours, payment of accounts, and schedule of charges. - Verification and eligibility of insurance benefits - Enters patient information and routes completed paperwork to appropriate departments. Obtains signed statement from patient to protect hospital's interests. - Accepts and stores patient valuables when necessary. Receives payments on account. - Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; six to twelve months related experience and/or training preferred.
