About the Opportunity

This is an open position with the FirstEnergy Service Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp.

The Streetlight Program Coordinator position is primarily responsible for supporting short-term and long-term streetlight deployment planning, including inventory needs, field resources and back-office support.

This position reports to the Manager, Distribution Platform Enhancement. The preferred reporting location is the Reading Office in Reading, PA. Other locations within the company's PA service territory will be considered.

Responsibilities include:

  • Demonstrating and directing a solid commitment to all aspects of safety.
  • Short term and long-term streetlight deployment planning, including inventory needs, field resources and back-office support.
  • Assisting with streetlight outage management & tracking, and maximizing LED conversions through outage response.
  • Assisting with status reporting, including data preparation & scrubbing for Program and Regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborating with Regulatory, Rates, Legal, Project Management, Engineering Services, Portfolio Management, Local Engagement and Business Services as needed to address cross functional streetlight deployment activities.
  • Supporting field audit processes, including planning, vendor assistance, and updating records as needed based on discrepancies found from field audits to assure accurate records in FE systems (ex: GIS corrections, identify needed billing corrections, etc.).
  • Assisting with technical and non-technical implementation of a Connected Streetlight Solution, to be integrated into the LED streetlight deployment processes.
  • Supporting continuous improvement activities within the LED Streetlight Conversion Program, and across FirstEnergy where applicable.
  • Monitoring and reporting progress against program plans and assisting with the development of presentations to leadership and other stakeholders.
  • Making sound decisions by evaluating options with consideration for implications and consequences.

Qualifications

  • Two-to-four-year degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering or related discipline and minimum 2 to 4 years relevant work experience are required.
  • In lieu of degree, 4 to 7 years relevant work experience is required. Relevant work experience includes demonstrated analytical, project management and critical thinking skills.
  • Possess relationship building, project management, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Possess strong computer skills in the Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Word). Working knowledge of SAP/CRM preferred.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Able to conduct business-specific research, analyze data, interpret results, and make recommendations.
  • Clearly demonstrate ability to quickly learn the activities within the area of focus.
  • Proficient in developing effective working relationships and professional networks throughout the organization.
  • Able to identify issues or problems and determine root causes and/or solutions.
  • Able to link risk to mitigation strategies.
  • Excellent customer service skills and able to work in a team environment.
  • Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
