About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and accurate Purchase2Pay (P2P) Specialist to support the end-to-end financial process of a large international organisation in Schiphol.
As a P2P Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring that incoming invoices are processed accurately, completely, and on time. You will also manage supplier-related processes, monitor financial data quality, and ensure that internal controls and applicable tax requirements are followed.
This is an independent operational role suited to someone who can take ownership of their work and manage processes without intensive supervision.
Key Responsibilities
- Process incoming invoices accurately, completely, and within agreed deadlines.
- Manage and monitor supplier-related processes.
- Support the complete Purchase2Pay process, from purchase through to payment.
- Perform financial and data-quality checks.
- Identify discrepancies and take appropriate corrective action.
- Monitor the payment process and ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Maintain and apply internal financial control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Liaise independently with internal departments regarding invoices, payments, and supplier matters.
- Communicate with external suppliers and proactively resolve issues.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability within the P2P process.
- Maintain accurate financial records and contribute to reliable financial reporting.
- Work independently while taking ownership of assigned processes and decisions.
Requirements
The ideal candidate has:
- MBO+ or HBO-level education in Business Economics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- Demonstrable experience with invoice processing and supplier management
- Experience with the end-to-end Purchase2Pay (P2P) process
- Broad financial knowledge, including:
- Internal controls
- Accounting
- Tax
- Risk management
- Experience working independently in an operational finance environment.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
- A proactive approach and the confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
- Oracle experience is a strong advantage.
- Good command of Dutch; this is the primary working language within the team.
- English at B2 level is desirable due to communication with international suppliers.

Working Arrangement
The position offers a hybrid working arrangement, with approximately 50% working from home and 50% from the office
Thursday is the fixed office day, when the full team is expected to be present.
Flexibility to work on Friday as part of the 36-hour working week is considered an advantage.
