Network Security Consultant

Vision is currently seeking a Network Security Engineer for a long term contract in the Headquarters area. This position has a great chance of going to full-time employment with the world's largest provider of Network Technologies. Our client is needing someone with a strong Networking background in Route/Switch and Security. The ideal candidate will have experience Engineering and leading teams in large-scale Security implementations. Individual will serve as a team member in Minneapolis Minnesota working in the financial industry. The Security Consultant will be responsible for finalization and delivery of reports for each consulting engagement. The role will be required to prepare and deliver formal presentations to senior (C-level) executives in both business and IT. The role will develop and recommend software tools, methodologies and approaches to enhance the teams consulting services delivery opportunities. This role is also expected to contribute to the teams knowledge management initiatives by documenting and or briefing the teams security consultants on lessons learned from engagements.

Candidate must be a self-motivated individual that is comfortable with being diplomatically disruptive while being dedicated to exceeding client expectations. This candidate must be willing to contribute to team efforts, possess strong interpersonal, written and presentation skills in addition to possessing the following technical skills:

• Experienced in various security architectural design concepts and strategizes with an emphasis on policy management, intrusion detection and prevention for a large enterprise environment
• Extensive experience with security configuration strategizes aligned with network and security infrastructures components such as routers, switches and firewalls
• Implementing and troubleshooting network security risk issues for enterprise customers
• Experienced Security architect that works to design an acceptable IS security environment for the client organization
• Extensive experience with ISE, IPS, ASA, CSM and VPN security technologies along with detail understanding of TCP/IP protocols
• Expert ability to clearly communicate security approaches, techniques, frameworks, methodologies, industry practices and innovations verbally in a formal and informal basis to all levels of client staff
• Experienced with leading knowledge shares, proof of concepts and pilot initiatives to drive change to align security enabled business outcomes
