
We are seeking an Oversight & Assessment Specialist, HLW to join our team supporting the Hanford Site! This position is part-time and will be based out of Richland, WA. This is a short-term role (960 hours).
Responsibilities
Provide oversight of contractor system design review program.
Coordinate system design reviews for the WTP HLW systems.
Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Document (ICD).
Coordinate issue assessment and resolution with HFO engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.
Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations.
Utilize excellent writing and communication skills in all interactions.
Requirements
Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 6+ years of relevant experience ; additional, relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Experience with HFO’s oversight program requirements to include HFO’s corrective action management process.
Experience performing oversight of HFO Orders/Standards such as facility operations, engineering, maintenance management of a nuclear facility.
Desired Skills
Comprehensive understanding of the Hanford Site Tank Waste mission, activities, and priorities.
In-depth knowledge of DOE Hanford processes and procedures.
Proficient in DOE’s program management practices, policies, and procedures.
Experience with WTP project design, quality assurance and oversight.
Familiarity with, or ability to quickly learn and utilize, various technology management tools used at Hanford.
Exceptional communication skills.
Proficient in Microsoft 365.
Expert-level proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
HFO iCAS expert level proficiency.
