Power BI Advisor

Experience: 8+ years

We are looking for a senior Power BI Advisor to lead enterprise analytics and reporting initiatives. This role focuses on translating business needs into scalable BI solutions, delivering actionable insights, and partnering with stakeholders to enable data driven decision making across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

BI Solution Development

• Design and deliver advanced Power BI dashboards, reports, and semantic models
• Build interactive, high performance visualizations for business insights
• Develop robust data models using DAX, Power Query, and star schema design
• Integrate data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, and cloud platforms

Data Engineering and ETL

• Lead ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data into reporting layers
• Ensure data quality, consistency, and accuracy across all reporting assets
• Optimize dashboards and data models for performance and scalability
• Troubleshoot data integration and reporting issues

Stakeholder Engagement and Advisory

• Work closely with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions
• Present insights and recommendations to leadership
• Act as a trusted advisor on analytics strategy and BI best practices
• Drive adoption of data driven decision making across teams

Governance and Leadership

• Implement row level security, access controls, and data governance practices
• Ensure compliance with organizational data policies
• Mentor junior team members and support capability building

Required Skills

• 7 to 12 years of experience in Business Intelligence or Data Analytics
• Strong hands-on expertise in Power BI (Desktop and Service), DAX, and Power Query
• Solid experience in data modeling and visualization best practices
• Strong SQL and understanding of data warehousing concepts
• Experience with Azure ecosystem such as ADF, Synapse, or Data Lake
• Proven experience delivering end to end BI solutions
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Good to Have

• Experience with Python, Tableau, or Microsoft Fabric
• Exposure to data governance frameworks
• Experience in global delivery or client facing environments
