genU is looking for Support workers who can team up with our customers to help them unleash their full potential. You will be making a real impact by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement

What you’ll do

• Support person-centred plans that identify a customer’s life goals and working to achieve them
• Join customers in the community and do recreational activities
• Support customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation, housekeeping, showering and toileting, medication administration and attending appointments
• Ensure positive behaviour support plans are followed; and
• Administration duties and mandatory reporting

What you’ll bring

• Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability or Higher [CHC33021, CHC33015, CHC43121, CHC43115]
• Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships;
• Significant personal experience or willingness to assist with personal care and domestic duties experience
• Ability to follow Person Centred plans and assist people to achieve their goals and outcomes;
• An understanding and enthusiasm for working alongside people with disabilities;
• A valid drivers licence and willingness to use your private vehicle (aligned with genU motor vehicle allowance rebate)
