Job Description
Essential Responsibilities
- Monitor hotel premises, entrances, exits, parking areas, and public spaces throughout the overnight shift.
- Conduct routine interior and exterior security patrols.
- Respond promptly and professionally to security incidents, disturbances, emergencies, and guest concerns.
- Address overnight noise complaints and other guest concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Enforce hotel security policies and procedures.
- Assist with fire alarms, medical emergencies, evacuations, and other emergency situations.
- Complete accurate security reports, incident reports, and shift logs.
- Monitor access to restricted areas and identify unauthorized individuals.
- Communicate effectively with the Front Desk, Management, Maintenance, and other hotel departments.
- Contact law enforcement, emergency services, or other appropriate authorities when necessary.
- Protect hotel property, equipment, and guest belongings.
- Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Follow all Courtyard by Marriott, company, and hotel policies and procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Previous security, hotel, military, law enforcement, or customer service experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Strong observation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout an overnight shift.
- Ability to remain calm and professional during stressful or emergency situations.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to walk and stand for extended periods and conduct routine hotel patrols.
- Must be available to work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
