Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is looking for aRoom Service Serverwho shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate service experienceOur Room Service Serverwill be a member of a dynamic team who provides service and support to our award-winning employeesThis position reports to the Room Service ManagerU.S. work authorization isrequiredfor this position.
Key Elements of the Job
Deliver food orders including any special needs or requests to the guest in-room, check completed kitchen orders with the order taker or guest’s original order; transport items to the guestroomin a timely mannerto ensure proper food quality.
Greet guests, describe selected items to the guest using interesting, and vivid descriptions ofeachitem’s, origin, taste, and preparation methods; communicate options for removal of trays and dishware; respond to request for tray removal according to established time standards.
Breakdown, clean and set-up of room service tables, condiment set-ups, flatware, dishware, and room service side stations
Anticipate guest needs,ascertainsatisfaction, and offer suggestions, and respond urgently and appropriately to guest concerns and requests; Ability to answer calls in the absence of the order taker or manager
Check theguestsin-room private bar daily and restock accordingly; communicate with order taker any special private bar requests or needs; remove private bar contents upon guest request and re-stock when guestdeparts
Ability to multi-task and prioritize in room deliveries to ensure orders/requests are deliveredin a timely manner; deliver and set up guest amenities.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
Previousexposure to Hotel OperatingSystems (Opera, Micros POS andHotsossystems preferred)
Flexible work hours to include overnight, morning and night shifts
Food Handler’s Permit and Mixologist Permit
PreviousRoom Service/Serving experience a plus
Strong Communication Skills necessary for the success of this role
