The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic Health System is seeking two highly qualified radiologists to join the Emergency Overnight Team to provide overnight teleradiology coverage. This includes providing final interpretation of inpatient and Emergency Department (ED) examinations, comprised predominately of radiography and CT, but inclusive of MR and US exams. Our EDs, including level II trauma center in Eau Claire, WI, see all forms of acute and urgent clinical disease presentation. Additionally, MCHS has multiple accredited Stroke Centers.
The schedule will follow a 7 days on and 14 days off cadence (~121 shifts/year, 0.8 FTE). Overnight shifts are Monday-Sunday. The full complement of Mayo Clinic benefits are provided. Vacation and non-clinical time such as trip time must be taken from off-rotation periods. Qualified candidates may staff these shifts remotely in any of the continental United States. To promote engagement with the department and hospital and assist in advancement in the educational and research goals of the EHR division, additional onsite weekday daytime coverage in division(s) most aligned with the candidate’s training/experience is included. This includes two Mon-Fri remote daytime weeks during business hours, and two on-site Mon-Fri work weeks partnered with one of our community hospital teams (0.1 FTE) with a travel stipend provided.
The ideal candidate will have strong general radiology skills and fellowship level training ideally in neuroradiology, although other relevant fellowships including Emergency Radiology will be considered. Experience and proficiency with typical ED/Inpatient Stat CT/MR neurological imaging is required of all hires.
The Mayo Clinic Health System Department of Radiology consists of 80 radiologists, and ~500 allied health employees. ABR board eligible or board certification required.
Must be eligible to obtain a medical license in Minnesota and Wisconsin in addition to maintaining medical licensure in respective state of residence. Usual and customary expenses will be reimbursed.
