DRIVER
DEPARTMENT: Guest Services / Transportation
REPORTS TO: Guest Services Manager (or designate)
STATUS: Non-Exempt
The Driver is responsible for providing safe, courteous, and reliable transportation services for guests, team members, and hotel operations as assigned. This role ensures a welcoming and professional transportation experience while maintaining vehicle safety, cleanliness, and operational readiness. The Driver represents Coury Hospitality by delivering exceptional service and supporting guest satisfaction through timely and efficient transportation support.
PRIMARY JOB DUTIES
• Provide safe and timely transportation for guests to and from designated locations, including airports, local attractions, and property-related destinations.
• Greet guests in a friendly, professional manner and assist with entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Assist guests with luggage loading and unloading as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and operational readiness of assigned vehicles at all times.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning.
• Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company driving policies.
• Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, fuel usage, and transportation activities.
• Communicate effectively with Guest Services, Concierge, and Front Desk teams regarding transportation needs and schedules.
• Respond promptly to transportation requests and adjust routes or schedules based on operational needs.
• Provide information about property amenities, local attractions, and general guest assistance when appropriate.
• Report any vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or safety concerns immediately to management.
• Ensure a high level of guest service and professionalism at all times while driving or interacting with guests.
• Assist with general guest services duties when transportation demand is low.
• Support VIP arrivals and departures with elevated service standards.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance in accordance with company standards.
Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the manager. Furthermore, tasks and responsibilities may be added or revised based on the volume of business and the need for the work to be completed at the present time.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record required.
• Previous driving or hospitality transportation experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Knowledge of local area roads, attractions, and routes preferred.
• Ability to safely operate vehicles in various traffic and weather conditions.
• Professional, courteous, and guest-focused demeanor.
• Strong time management and reliability.
• Ability to assist with luggage and perform physical tasks as needed.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• Requires sitting for extended periods while driving.
• Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling luggage up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to work in varying weather conditions when assisting guests outdoors.
