Job Description

Location: Too Sweet Cakes, Phoenix
Anticipated Schedule: Start at 10pm -6:30am

Job Type: Full-time (35-40 hrs/week), 5 days of the week

Pay $17-$18/hour Depending on Experience

At Too Sweet Cakes, we are seeking reliable, detail-oriented Overnight Bakery Team Members to support our production operations. This role is part of our overnight bakery team and is responsible for executing production during late-night and early-morning hours to ensure orders are ready for daily distribution. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, team-driven kitchen environment and takes pride in consistency, organization, and craftsmanship.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Execute overnight production of wholesale baked goods according to daily and weekly schedules
  • Prepare ingredients, assemble products, and bake items following standardized recipes and procedures
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with the Back of House Manager and overnight team
  • Operate bakery equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and other production tools
  • Monitor product quality throughout the baking process and make adjustments as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with food safety standards
  • Ensure proper storage, labeling, and shelf-life management of all products
  • Work with urgency and accuracy to meet production deadlines and quality expectations
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned based on production and business needs

Requirements

  • Experience 1-2 years of baking or pastry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Pastry Skills Understanding of proper pastry methods, techniques, and industry standards.
  • Food Handler Certificate Food Handlers Certificate required.
  • Passion for Baking A strong interest in high-quality baked goods and the food industry.
  • Time Management Excellent ability to manage time and meet deadlines efficiently.
  • Physical Requirements Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50-75 lbs occasionally.
  • Attention to Detail A keen eye for detail and quality control.
  • Schedule Flexibility Open availability and schedule flexibility is a MUST.
  • Early Riser Must be comfortable working early morning shifts.

Too Sweet Cakes was founded in 2016 by Shelbi Geyer, whose love for baking started as a young girl, sketching cake designs and dreaming of one day opening her own bakery. From there Too Sweet Cakes expanded to Lake Oswego, and today, we proudly operate four retail locations across Oregon and Arizona, with a fifth location opening in 2026 in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
