Job Description

Our client is seeking a fully qualified Overhead Linesman to join their team on a major infrastructure project based in Kildare, with work spanning across multiple sites in Leinster. This project involves critical transmission and distribution upgrades, requiring skilled professionals with hands-on experience in high-voltage environments. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical capabilities, a commitment to safety, and the ambition to progress into a Person in Charge of Work (PICW) role.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Installation, maintenance, and repair of overhead power lines across various Leinster sites.
2. Climbing poles and towers safely to perform line work.
3. Conducting switching operations on transmission and distribution networks.
4. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational procedures.
5. Performing fault finding and diagnostics on overhead systems.
6. Collaborating with site teams to ensure timely project delivery.
7. Completing work reports and documentation accurately.
8. Supporting junior team members and apprentices on-site.
9. Participating in ongoing training and development for progression to PICW.

Role Requirements:

1. Fully qualified Linesman certification.
2. Proven experience in transmission and distribution systems.
3. Ability to climb poles and work at heights.
4. Strong understanding of switching operations and safety protocols.
5. Full driving licence and willingness to travel across Leinster.
6. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
