Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Overhead Lines Training Supervisor to join their team in Kildare, supporting a major training initiative for new recruits entering the power transmission sector. The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering hands-on and classroom-based training at a dedicated training school, ensuring the next generation of linesmen are equipped with the skills and safety knowledge required for the field. The ideal candidate will be a qualified linesman with a passion for mentoring and a willingness to present and lead training sessions.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver structured training sessions to new recruits in both classroom and field environments.
• Develop and present training materials, including safety procedures and technical instruction.
• Supervise practical exercises and assess trainee performance.
• Maintain high standards of safety and compliance throughout training activities.
• Collaborate with training coordinators to continuously improve course content.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to trainees, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Conduct evaluations and provide feedback to trainees and management.
• Ensure training aligns with industry standards and client expectations.
• Support the development of future training programs and initiatives.

Requirements:

• Fully qualified linesman with demonstrable field experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to train and mentor junior staff.
• Previous experience in formal training or instruction (preferred but not essential).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Commitment to safety and continuous improvement.
